Bollinger Grand Annee 1999

Made from a blend of Pinot Noir(63%)and Chardonnay (27%) and fermented in small oak casks, this extremely refined Champagne undergoes secondary fermentation in a corked bottle (as opposed to a metal bottle cap) and all bottles are hand riddled and disgorged. The wine displays remarkable perlage (unbroken strings of bubbles) and an incredibly smooth, almost frothy mouth feel. The flavors are all soft, hints of apple, delicate citrus notes and a toasty nose. No wonder this is what they serve the Queen. Ahhhh.
